Thanks to all of the adventure racers, sponsors, and volunteers who helped to make the Bantry Bay Adventure Race 2017 such a huge success
We were able to raise over €2,500 for local charities, and we’re already making plans for BBAR 2018 which will take place on August 25th!
Income (Fees & Cork Harbour Board) – €7,700
Expenditure (Chip Timing Fees, Kayak Hire, Misc. Equipment, Marketing etc.) – €2,116.40
Reserved Surplus* – €3,000.
Surplus amount distributed to charities:
ARC Cancer House – €1033.44 (40%)
Bantry Inshore Rescue Association – €1033.44 – (40%)
Whiddy Island Development Association €516.72 (20%)
*The reserved surplus is retained to allow us to organise next year’s event. At the point in future years when the event is eventually dissolved, any reserved funds will be distributed between the event’s charity partners.
