Cork ARC Cancer Support House
Cork Arc Cancer Support House is a free, drop-in centre that provides invaluable support to people with cancer and their relatives. They can call to the house in Bantry without an appointment and chat in confidence with one of ARC’s trained volunteers in a relaxed atmosphere.
The provision of this service in Bantry brings a benefit to a wide rural community who no longer have to travel to Cork city to access this kind of support service.
Bantry Inshore Rescue Association
The Bantry Inshore Rescue Service is a local community group which provides maritime rescue services in the Bantry & Whiddy Island area.
Whiddy Island Development Association
Over the last few years, the Whiddy Island Development Association has done a huge amount of work to support the development of heritage projects on the island. Funds raised will go towards the island community’s goal of preserving and developing Whiddy Island – one of seven inhabited islands along the West Cork coastline.
This is a ‘not-for-profit’ event, organised to support local charities and non-profit organisations.
